ScanSafe® - A new product in the Tyvek® assortment

We are very happy to introduce a new and innovative product to the Tyvek assortment - ScanSafe®.  This RFID (radio frequency identification) shielding product simply protects the content carried or stored within it from identity theft.

 

In many passports and credit cards today, for example, you’ll find a RFID tag where all personal information is stored. With this technology a shop or customs officer’s scanner can easily identify the owner.

This actually is the opportunity for ScanSafe®, as anyone with a portable scanner could identify the owner if the personal data stored on the tag is not protected.
ScanSafe® has been developed to protect personal and sensitive data held on RFID tags.
The new product is constructed from DuPont™ Tyvek® on the outside, paper on the inside and an aluminium foil in between – once the passport or credit card is inside ScanSafe® the radio waves are blocked 99,99%* and no one can steal your information.
At the same time due to the Tyvek® material, ScanSafe® is still tear, burst and water resistant.

ScanSafe® will be launched in an E-mail newsletter all over Europe next week and at the same time www.bong.com and Tyvek® websites will be updated with all product details.
Samples (unprinted) will be available from the Tyvek® champions and from 3rd May sample stock will be available in Nybro to fulfil any online requests.
A sales power point presentation is available now and printed A4 sales leaflets and printed Passport Sleeve samples will be ready mid May.
